Rhetoric School

Project intro

Location: Boerne, TX

Project Size: 38,300 ft2

Jesse Garza designed the Rhetoric School Building for the Geneva School of Boerne as part of the campus’s 30-acre master plan, replacing aging temporary high-school facilities with a flexible, future-ready learning environment. The building includes classrooms for general studies, art, science, math, and computer science, along with administrative spaces organized around a two-story atrium that creates a strong sense of arrival. Classrooms feature advanced technology, abundant natural light, and views to the outdoors, while the exterior reflects refined Texas Hill Country vernacular architecture with sun-shading devices and recessed façades to reduce heat gain. Sustainable strategies guided all materials and systems, including the use of locally sourced stone and design practices that enhance efficiency, durability, and indoor environmental quality.
