Location: Boerne, TX
Project Size: 5,000 ft2
Jesse Garza designed the Lyceum Building as the second major component of the Geneva School of Boerne’s 30-acre master plan, creating a flexible, multi-purpose venue at the symbolic heart of campus. Serving as the setting for student theses, recitals, dances, and community events, the building reinforces the school’s classical education focus on public speaking and presentation. A rectangular plan and expansive glass walls connect the interior to the surrounding campus, while flanking limestone walls provide privacy and evoke the refined Texas Hill Country vernacular. In the evenings, the glass façade creates a dramatic, lantern-like presence that highlights the building’s importance. Durable materials including limestone, concrete, steel, and locally sourced stone were selected using sustainability best practices, ensuring a sense of permanence, dignity, and long-term performance.
