Location: Boerne, TX
Project Size: 19,600 ft2
The Gymnasium Building at the Geneva School of Boerne was the first major step in implementing the campus’s 30-acre master plan, providing a UIL-compliant competition gym, locker rooms, a weight room, and support spaces to serve more than 600 K–12 students. Designed for both daily physical education needs and competitive athletic events, the facility seats up to 300 spectators and is strategically located near outdoor fields to allow after-hours use without disrupting campus operations. A modified pre-engineered metal structure with translucent glazing brings in natural daylight while minimizing glare, and exterior materials offer a refined, modern interpretation of Texas Hill Country vernacular. All systems and materials were selected using sustainability best practices, including the use of locally sourced stone and strategies that enhance indoor environmental quality, energy efficiency, and long-term durability.
